Thai Garden

Best hopes and wishes for the New Year!!

On January 4th, I went to the restaurant which is called “Thai Garden” with Shiori. We choose this restaurant to review because we both love Thai food. This restaurant is located in Shibuya. It takes less than 5 minutes from Shibuya station to Thai garden.

The sign of this restaurant is like this:

Thanks to this sign, we could easily find the restaurant. Good first impression!

After we went down the staires, this beautiful statue welcomed us.

This statue has a big impact. I heard that this statue is famous landmark of this restaurant. The flowers around him are beautiful, too.

Hostess greeted us with a great smile and showed us to the table smoothly. Hostess wears the traditional thai dress and it is really beautiful.

The menu was already setted on the table.

The menu was written in Japanese and English, so foreigners can easily understand the menu. And we found that we can choose the level of spiciness! I'm not very good at eating too spicy food, so this system is really good for me.
We could not decide the dishes we eat, so we asked that which is the popular menu. Then, Hostess told us that Green curry and pattai are popular menu. And we ordered them with the lunch sets. And we use guruvavi coupon which can get jasmin tera free.

Green curry set was served after 5 minutes.

The contents of the lunch set was green curry, Tom yum goong soup, salad and dessert.
Green curry includes chicken, eggplant and bamboo shoot. It has a little bit coconuts taste and it was really delicious!! Tom yum goong soup contains noodles, welsh onion and mushroom. It had a slightly sour taste. And the salad concludes bean starch, onion, prawn, welsh onion, carrot and cabbage. It was flavored with a sweet chili sauce. It was very good:)

And after 5 minutes, pattai set was served.

Set menu was the same with green curry.
Pattai has sweet and spicy taste. I ate pattai for the first time and pattai became my favorite food. It contains bean sprouts, prawn, thick deep-fried tofu, garlic chive and peenats.

We feel a little bit uneasy because the two dishes served in different timing. If they served two dishes in same time, we do not need to wait to eat. So we checked 4.

  1. Your descriptive review and thorough rating criteria make for an informative and useful blog posting. I've glad you included such vivid and attractive photos as well. Asking the waitress for advice when ordering was a good idea since it was your first time to visit that restaurant. Well done!
